Plum

Plum NEW

Plums are garden bushes or trees of rose family. More than one hundred varieties with different fruit sizes (from 6 up to 100 grams), shapes, colors & flavors grow in Europe.

By contrast to apples, available all the year round, plums are consumed only in summer months since July-August till September. They are considered to be seasonal fruit. The main plum exporters to the Russian Federation are Serbia, Moldova, Italy, Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan. Fruit from the CIS countries are sold mostly in open-air markets, while the European fruit are shipped in all supplying channels.

In 2014 the market structure changed. After the import embargo for some fruit crops had been imposed, the most part European import was replaced by the local production or fruit from CIS countries, such as Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan. Russian consumers prefer fruit of red, violet & blue varieties.

Our company represents the local products.
